Working with this program has allowed me to be more connected to my physical, emotional and mental health. I have learned that our bodies and minds are interconnected and really affect one another. Realizing this has made me more intentional in everything I do from what I am putting into my body to creating boundaries. With this program, I witnessed students become more confident with their coping skills and life skills. I saw students advocating for their overall well being. This program highlights the importance of mental health and makes it so that the students’ emotional and mental needs are put first. Once those needs are met, then the students are more equipped to take on other aspects of their lives more successfully, such as academics.
