Military & Responders
First and foremost, thank you all for your dedication and service! I am forever grateful for the opportunity to visit your facilities and teach workshops about yoga, mindfulness, breath work, and meditation.
While instructing on Camp Pendleton, I integrated and immersed my teachings from 1000+ classes under my belt where I created techniques and processes for each class that was facilitated. By listening and learning about individual needs, I modified and adapted the curriculum to tailor individuals' needs based on their mental and physical trauma. Ultimately, anyone will be able to utilize these techniques for on-duty and off-duty.
It has been a great joy and learning experience working closely with the Active Duty, Veterans and Recovering Service Members at Wounded Warrior Battalion.

I am excited to incorporate practices that will benefit and increase productivity for you and your team.

Mindfulness
Adding breath work and visualization techniques heighten a natural awareness to your daily tasks at work and at home. You will learn how to train your mind and thoughts (just like we train our muscles) through breath work and visualization exercises, which allows you to recognize any triggers from PTS and PTSD to anxiety driven experiences. When you can control your thoughts, you can control your emotions. Emotions affect decisions along with your body’s actions.

I have proudly practiced all of the above with the Recovering Service Members and Active duty on Camp Pendleton for over three years. It is imperative that we learn the mindfulness techniques without opioids and SSRIs / Benzodiazepines to stay alert and strong in the choices we make.
Yoga

I like to call yoga, Asana (movement) back to basics (aligning your joints). Any type of exercise has the potential to improve non motor skills such as stiffness as well as cognitive function. Focusing on correct poses through yoga in this training will break down the misalignment of the body posture, which leads to the awareness of your BPA (body posture alignment) in your daily life.
Building the strength and opening your facia by movement with yoga can safely improve your overall fitness levels, endurance and strength. This allows you to maintain at a higher intensity for longer periods of time. Yoga balances and strengthen joints in the smaller stabilizing muscles, which helps prevent injury and promotes overall longevity.

Benefits of healthy fascia:
-increased blood flow
-scar tissue break down
-reduced risk of injury
-less daily pain
-improved body symmetry and alignment
Enhance your life, ignite what's best for you, and grow on your own terms.
Integrative Health & Wellness
Yoga and mindfulness is an important part of WARP, at my last inpatient facility I was thankfully able to do yoga almost daily and it was incredibly important to my mental health, yoga as a practice has a lot of dialectical behavioral therapeutic skills and it stresses mindfulness and residing in the feelings of the present, which is incredibly important for people like myself, it reduces the amount of stress I have. I have been able to go to yoga and mindfulness with Anna and I have always felt a sense family both with her teaching and the others attending because were regulars and we know each other and are able to relate to one another’s hardships and be there for each other. The yoga and mindfulness practice is a necessity for my mental , physical and spiritual -well-being and I recommend her classes.

You can not control the toxicants outside of your home or office that negatively impact your endocrine system. But you can make safe, inexpensive changes in your living space and workplace. We will review the harmful toxicants in products, environmental toxicants, water, food/pesticides, and air quality while providing alternative ways to help change to a healthier you and a safer workplace for your co-workers, teammates and classroom.

Despite widespread use of the term “natural” and “organic” on personal care products and food, the Food and Drug Administration has never legally defined the term and has no regulations on usage. What you may think is for natural or organic products and food base, may not always match the manufacturers’ use of the term. A 2008 study performed by the Organic Consumers Association found that an undisclosed carcinogenic petrochemical ingredient in more than 40% of all products tested that claimed to be “natural”. In 2016, the Federal Trade Commission filed complaints against four companies that marketed their personal care products as “all natural” or “100% natural” Even though the products contained a number of synthetic ingredients. Currently, more than 80,000 chemicals are legally allowed in this country. The vast majority of which have not been vetted for safety to human or environmental health. Prior to 1976, when the Toxic Substances Control Act took effect, 60,000 chemicals, that is 2 out of every 3 chemicals were "grandfathered" in! #themoreyouknow #letslearn
